Hotel Review : Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, the capital of the southern state of Karnataka, is a major IT hub in India. It is also known as Silicon Valley of India. The city is famous for various gardens, museums & Palace.

I got an opportunity to visit Bengaluru recently, for my official trip. I chose to stay at Hotel Radisson Blu Atria, located on Palace Road.

My flight landed at Kempegowda Airport of Bengaluru at 11 am. The 2 hours 20 minutes flight from Delhi was very comfortable. This new airport of Bengaluru is vast & full of various facilities.

After collecting my luggage from baggage belt, I came out of the airport from exit no. 3. I booked an OLA cab & reached the OLA pickup point, which was almost 5 minutes walk from the exit gate. The OLA pickup point has various stations from different categories of services. The most economic cabs are placed at the last, which is another 2 minutes walk.

I boarded the cab & started for my hotel. The travel time was approx 1 hour 30 minutes, through the toll road. In peak rush hours, this travel time can go up to 2 hours as well. So, one should keep a sufficient time margin for commuting to the airport. The fare charged by OLA Mini was INR 850 for this ride, which included the airport pickup charges & toll tax.

After reaching the hotel, their staff greeted me at the entry gate. The luggage was scanned by security. I approached the reception for check-in. The staff was courteous & polite. They kept on interacting with me during check-in formalities. They even asked for any special request.

After check in, the bell boy escorted me to the room, which was on the 3rd floor. Room was very spacious. The interior & lighting was remarkable.

The bed was very comfortable. Linen was of high quality. The TV had plenty of channels, including HD ones. The window had a good view of the front road.

The working table had sufficient power points for charging Laptop / Tab / Mobile phones. They also provided power points at the bed side.

The tea coffee maker was stocked with grey tea, English breakfast tea, green tea & coffee. Same were refilled in evening service as well.

The bathroom had separate areas for bathtub & shower. Bath amenities were of very good quality. Bathroom towels were very soft & neat clean.

Room service was very prompt & the food was very tasty. I ordered Veg Biryani for lunch, which was served with mix raita.

I had a sound sleep in the night. Although my room was towards the main road, the room was sound proof & there was no disturbance of outside traffic.

Next morning, I visited their restaurant for breakfast. The buffet spread was huge. There were different sections for North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Non-vegetarian, Fresh Fruits, Salad Bar, Bakery, Tea Coffee & Juices. Live counters were serving Dosa, Poori, Omelet etc.

The restaurant had adequate seating arrangement & hence, no waiting time. I really enjoyed my breakfast, followed by a nice cup of Filter Coffee.

The check out process was also fast.

Conclusion:

Overall, a great hotel in the heart of the city. It was not very far from Bangalore railway station, Yeshwantpur railway station, Peenya Industrial area, MG road & other places. The services, attitude & hospitality of hotel staff is remarkable.

Hotel is value for money & highly recommended.
